It is our pleasure to welcome you to the ‘2008 Moville Summer Festival’. As you will see from the programme there is a wide range of events ranging from the ‘vintage displays’ to ‘rocket launches’.

In the past Moville has hosted one the first ‘Oyster Festivals’ to be held in Ireland. This year we tried to create a truly enjoyable event with something to suit all of the family.

Situated on the banks of Lough Foyle, Moville offers the best in sea, shore and river fishing. There are two award winning golf courses including the recently opened links course designed by Nick Faldo in Ballyliffen only a short distance away. A good list of water sports ranging from sailing to skiing are available, there are also beautiful coastal walks, historical sites with high crosses, castles and ringforts all within walking distance from the town.

The town itself has a good selection of pubs, restaurants, accommodation and a rich natural beauty that surrounds it. On top of that you have the ‘Moville Summer Festival’ which runs from 1st - 6th August 2007 inclusive. The festival programme has a large number of varied events, most of which are free, organised and run by a totally voluntary committee so please give generously when asked for donations. Finally we would ask that throughout the festival you co-operate with the stewards and Garda and keep Moville litter free. We sincerely hope you enjoy the festival.
